Poems of Faith and Love | by Dorothy (Mrs. Belden) Legge April 13, 2011 | $2.99 | 13024 words | Sample 20% |
| Author bio: Mrs. Belden Legge was born Dorothy Marie Tompkins in Arcadia, Kansas, October 24, 1924. She was the youngest of six children born of the union of Jessie Louella Smith and Charles Andrew Tompkins. She was graduated from Mulberry High School, Mulberry, Kansas, in May, 1941. She attended the Kansas State Teachers College in Pittsburg, Kansas, and worked for the Dean of Women to help pay her way. In a relatively short period of time, she was offered a job teaching all six elementary grades at a country school in Radley, Kansas. She and her mother, now a widow, lived in a two room little house with a pot-bellied stove and a feather mattress. A great deal of the time, I lived with them. I am Michael E. Benson, another Inknbeans Press author and the nephew of Mrs. Belden Legge. Dorothy became committed to the Lord when she was only seven years of age. Her love for Jesus Christ has continued without pause from then until now, and she is a dedicated, consecrated Christian. Dorothy married Belden Burr Legge in March, 1945. He was the love of her life, and they settled first in Pittsburg, Kansas and later in Pryor, Oklahoma where she still resides. She and Belden had five children: Larry, Danny, Judy, Kathy and John, and grandchildren Deana, Christy, and Ericka. Danny, Judy and John have already gone to be with Jesus, and they were preceded by her husband, Belden some years prior to that. Mrs. Belden Legge is a gifted poet. Her poems of praise, she says, were given to her by the Holy Spirit. Her poems of love were inspired by the love and compassion she feels for her family, friends, and sometimes even strangers she happens to meet. |

This | by Mark McCann March 16, 2011 | $0.99 | 1219 words | Sample 30% |
| Author bio: Some of the writers that inspire me are Eggers, Vonnegut, Hemingway, Bukowski, to name but a few, though I believe music has probably influenced me just as much... and the Simpson's... and maybe even sitting down. While my productivity may suggest otherwise, I am always writing to some degree; be it observation or contemplation, part of me is taking it in and filing it away. On that note, if I had to sum up my writing in one word, it would be, effort. Not only because of the obvious, but because it is across the board in terms of life, love, walking forward: all of these things, and so much more, are that much better with just a bit of it. We should be in a campaign for common sense with Effort as our prime candidate. In fact, I am going to put it on shirts, just so I can remove it from the tip of my tongue. I would like to thank you for your effort, may it bring you back, and keep you well. Best regards, Mark |

At The End of My Pencil | by Holly Stokes March 16, 2011 | $1.99 | 7599 words | Sample 10% |
| Author bio: Go la nv Ga wo ni ha Pronounced: go-la-nah ga-woe-knee-hah or in English: Raventalker I am simply a messenger ... my goal here is to help as many as I can with the stories I have lived and those yet to come. I will share with you my journey, my walk on the path of the Red Road with a collection of poetry I’ve written over the years. Come take my hand and walk with me a while... together we will grow .. together we will learn and together we will heal. How did I get my name? My name comes from the Creator by way of a Cherokee/Lakota Medicine Man. I received my Cherokee name through sacred Cherokee ceremony on an Autumn evening. A moment I shall never forget. I'll tell you the story I was given of how the Creator gave the medicine man my name. One Autumn evening the Medicine Man went into sweat lodge to ask the Creator for my name. A pack of wolves entered the lodge and lined against the wall. One wolf just would not stop talking... it went on and on about anything and everything. My friend said to the wolf "will you be quiet, I can't focus!". Frustrated, my friend says to the Creator .. I don't understand what you are telling me, I need a name for Holly. He heard a voice say, I have already given you the name. In the background that wolf was still jabbering away and my friend says "wolftalker?" and at that point a raven flew up onto his shoulder and says, "NO, it's Raventalker and don't forget it!" |

Serendiptiy's Sting | by A.C. Ping March 06, 2011 | $2.99 | 62906 words | Sample 20% |
| Author bio: A.C. Ping has traveled the World and lived in Australia, the UK, USA and Africa. He is the author of 8 books including the trilogy of personal development books BE, DO and FAITH that have been published internationally and translated into 11 different languages. Now available in E book form is the second 'experiential' trilogy of books 'A Place Where You May Find Peace', 'Release Your Fear' and 'The Self Mastery Toolbox'. "I've read all three of A. C. Ping's books in this "series": BE, DO, and FAITH. Now, I am going to re-read them all and try to put what I've learned into daily practice. Not that Ping is trying to give you 5 easy steps to enlightenment or anything like that... rather, he provides clarity and insight on many of the things that hold you back and drag you down, and points the way toward a healing, all-encompassing kind of faith--not limited to a particular religion or religion in particular. What makes Ping's voice so unique: He walks a tightrope above New-Age, Pseudo-Science, and Religion... but walks the tightrope exceedingly well. He never falls into the safety net of what has already been said a million times in a million self-help books. His voice is fresh without being trendy or commercial. He spices things up with the occasional curse word or two. He's down-to-earth, witty, and doesn't try to be your guru. He's more like a great friend who offers wonderful perspective and insight without coming across as a flawless, know-it-all. So rare!! I recommend these books highly! Start with BE, follow up with DO, and then feel the refreshing healing in FAITH. You won't regret it!" Review on Amazon.com For more information about A.C. Ping and the work he does with individuals and organizations, visit the website www.acping.net |

Poems of The Second Coming | by Ian Robert Crawford Feb. 24, 2011 | $6.99 | 11155 words | Sample 20% |
| Author bio: Ian Robert Crawford is a poetic prophet with heart and soul. He was born in Gympie to a family who have resided on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia at Cooroy since the early 1900’s on one side of the family and the late 1800’s on the other side. Ian went to school in Cooroy and demonstrated great proficiency in Mathematics and English. After school, he worked first in a clerical capacity, then in the manual and technical trades. One day out of the blue, Ian was struck by a car whilst crossing the road and his life was forever changed. He spent seventeen weeks in hospital healing and recuperating from head injuries. Upon recovery, Ian found work in hospitality. Thirteen years passed and incredulously, Ian was struck by another car when crossing the road. He sustained head injuries again, however, this time a ‘door’ was unlocked to a higher spiritual awareness. Ian became interested in meditative pursuits and he developed some formerly hidden aspects of his higher consciousness. This extraordinary life journey has enabled Ian to tap into a deeper understanding of his unique spirituality. Poems of the Second Coming, is Ian’s second book. His first, Poems of Passion, is an esoteric collection of beautiful love poems. Ian still resides on the family farm, where he nurtures and is nurtured by his fruit tree orchard, the farm animals, his local native species, and of course, his human family. |

| Author bio: Born in 1989, I was inspired by the works of Shakespeare and started writing poetry at the age of 10. As a passionate poet, I'm constantly adding new life to my little 'poem pad'. The sources of my inspirations are as diverse as salt and water! Sometimes, a drastic world event or personal ordeal fires up my soul and my pen would start scribbling my thoughts and perspectives on the issue. During less passionate moments of my life, inspiration can come in as ordinary and mundane a form as a piece of paper falling to the ground or the rhythm of my dad's train-like snoring and even how rocks and plants seem to move and grow while meditating. |

Ad Infinitum Book One Master of the Nine Steps | by John Northern Sep. 19, 2010 | Free! | 34408 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: I love good science fiction and deplore the bad. I write science fiction novels, and I hope no one deplores them. My novels are marketed online, on TV, and in the newspapers. My marriage is great, and my wife's name is Lou Ann. We have four sons who are grown and gone. We live in Las Vegas, Nevada. But we don't gamble - too smart for that. I play tennis - mediocre. I love sci fi movies, but my wife doesn't, so I have to go by myself. (She did like "Iron Man".) Although I love to write, I had to find a profession which would support me and my family---I was a Chiropractic physician for 29 years. I hope things are going well for you. We need more peace and love in the world - violence needs to stay in fiction. |

That's How it Looks From Here | by Douglas Kapin Aug. 30, 2010 | $2.99 | 5663 words | Sample 15% |
| Author bio: My name is Douglas Kapin; I’ve been writing for over thirty years but never published anything. I love e-Books, I’m published now, and people are actually reading my books, and I’m not killing trees. (I know, don’t go there) I raised two daughters, and I have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. My wife and I retired to the little town of Firebaugh, California, USA. Firebaugh is in the Central Valley as we call it. We live in an Almond Orchard in the County, or rurals as some may know it. We have Electric, Phone, and Mail delivery, but no City services such as Cable TV, Water, Sewer, or Gas, we have to provide those ourselves. My wife grew up here working in the fields with her mother and four sisters. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, but I tell people that I ‘grew up’ on a farm in Holbrook, Nebraska. I spent summers on the farm and they had a profound influence on my life at critical times in my development. I’ve lived in Los Angeles California, San Jose California, Biloxi Mississippi, Topeka Kansas, Belleview Washington, Grover Beach California, Minneapolis Minnesota, and Victorville California. I’ve worked in Computer related industries since there were computers. I’ve been in the Nuclear Power industry, Aero-Space, and all kinds of engineering, I’ve even driven a road-grader making roads in the desert. Why ‘One of the Children?’ I named both my Cat and Boat ‘Gumball’ which translates to ‘I’ve had it up to here!’ I developed my writing style and attitude based on ‘One of the Children,’ or ‘why can’t we be nice to each other?’ I guess this is one of those things like curling up in a corner and sucking my thumb, I’m comfortable and happy as ‘One of the Children.’ There are many reasons why people write books. The most prevalent reasons today are fame and $$$$. In the past and even today there are still the purists though, who have something to say and use the mighty pen to say it. There are those too, who use the pen to record the past and predict the future. There are those, who write stories of love, and of times long gone, where men were men and women were women, and you could tell the difference. Me, I’m a dreamer, and an optimist. I write because I wanted to, and because I think you might enjoy it. My first work was a healing for me. It’s mine, and I will always treasure its nearly two thousand pages. I make no bones about it; I'm a giver. I wish everyone was. I am also very religious. I sometimes have difficulty resolving some parts of stories because they touch on religion. I therefore choose not to bring in religion as such. My stories are consistent, within an imaginary setting, in an imaginary time, in an imaginary society, and with imaginary characters. (I make the whole thing up, all by myself.) Sometimes I use actual places I’m familiar with but other than the setting, the story and people are all Fiction. I think God has a mighty sense of humor. How can you watch the monkeys, or a kangaroo, or a gangly giraffe, and not see his humor? Every time I hear someone laugh, I know God has a sense of humor.
