Broken Heart | by Kennie Kayoz Aug. 07, 2011 | Free! | 2542 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Take 333-parts poetry and 333-parts of hate you get Kennie Kayoz: the perfect lethal combination of poetry and hate, whom himself has been labeled as 666 by his high school whom according to them should have spent time in the psych ward for things that he's said and poetry written while at school. Like the meaning of his name Kennie feels as if he's been born from the fire time and time again, and has been through various points in his life that have been utter kayotic. However he emerged from everything that life has seemed to throw at him many eBooks later Kennie is still looking at getting his name out there. Feeling unwanted by everyone around him since the age of 16, Kennie has not had an easy life which carries out into everything he does with an obvious edge. What he writes is real, and is what gives his words a distinction of others. The once #1 target of bullying at high school which started his controversial writing skills which really got him noticed by his teacher and principal when during a co-op class he wrote about being bullied from the moment he walked in the front doors at school in the morning till the moment that he gets off the bus at night the school was then set into "panic mode" as they then linked Kennie as a "Potential Threat" of pulling a "Columbine". They also pushed Kennie towards the schools psychologist to allow him someone to "Talk To", shortly after that Kennie found himself walking out of the doors never to return. After many trials and tribulations in his life after he dropped out he still managed to write on and off as his writing became an eerie prophecy for his own life. In late 2005 Kennie signed Crystal to Coyotes Publishing and just a few months later Kennie's struggles got worse as his father was killed by vehicular homicide. At the start of 2006 Kennie decided to take a huge chance with his poe-hatery as he established the ebook called "End Of The Poe-Hatery Era" in which he gathered up all that could be considered "Poe-Hatery" and released it followed that he went on to realize that "Poe-Hatery" was exactly who he was so he decided to take another huge chance and release "Be Yourself" a eBook with collabs by various independent artists (in various genres) as well as other independent poets and he released it it got a huge variety of notice all through out the internet, but when Kennie realized that he was the only one plugging it and none of the other artists were doing anything about the release he immediately pulled the release off of the internet. Shortly after that Coyotes Publishing as well as Kennie vanished from the likes of the internet. |

Help Wanted | by Shane Diamond Sep. 28, 2011 | Free! | 403 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: A small town in Ontario Canada, a town so small that it would be called "The Boonies" or "The Sticks" is where I spent my life growing up, now all through out my life with anyone who has made it big they have always been from a big city. Nobody has been from the middle of no where. But that is where I have been growing up, in the hamlets that all you can see are trees or fields as far as the eye can see no matter what direction you look. The towns overlooked and forgotten by history that where at night you could hear coyotes howl. For almost all of my life I never really did have any friends I always roamed around the places that I lived alone anytime people would see me they would see me roaming around all by my lonesome, perhaps I was loner perhaps that I was destined to be a loner for life who continued to keep things bottled up on the inside and never let anyone get close to me. Then the writing bug hit me: About six years ago I decided to pick up a pen and began to express myself in the form of poetry, but of course not all of the poetry that I write is the same it all has been influenced by my thoughts and emotions at the time of writing it. While dabbling into the art of poetry you will also see me and my wife Jessica dabble into a few other things ranging from music to fantasy sports. If I have a interest in it then you can best believe that I will be giving a good solid attempt at bringing that forth to share with the world to show everyone that ya boy from out in "the sticks" or from "the boonies" isn't somebody to be taken out of any situation no matter what I attempt. |

The wall | by Angelina Souren June 24, 2011 | Free! | 1619 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Angelina Souren started writing as a child, and hasn’t stopped yet. She currently produces a form of verbal jazz, such as Mixed Spices and FCQ. Quirky flash fiction with all sorts of twists, more than most people will be aware of. Her flash fiction may remind some people of Spike Milligan, others of zen koans, and yet others of Donald Barthelme. Some of it is very readable, some of it is outrageously funny, yet some of it is complex and not for everyone. |

Complete works of an Unknown Poet | by Chantel McGleno Oct. 29, 2011 | Free! | 13859 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: I live on a small Native American reservation in Northern Minnesota. I write all genres of work. I am currently working on my memoir, possibly another children's book, and a cookbook. I am sure they will be posted as an ebook. Cookbook will for sure be hard. :) I have always loved writing. It has been my passion since I was old enough to hold a pen. With life being as crazy as it has been I feel as if I don't have the time like I want too but I know I will be pushing for more again soon. I just recently submitted a Christmas poem to the local newspaper and then I am hoping to submit to Highlights Magazine. I just keep a positive outlook on things. Just because they told me no once doesn't mean that someone else may say no too. :) |

Happy Death Day | by KJ Abyzz Sep. 29, 2011 | Free! | 218 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Growing up as KJ wasn't the easiest thing in the world, much of what happened to him growing up still affects him much of him today. Nothing is worse than the mental scarring he was forced to face during his days in high school, we all have our own stories about what we go through at high school however when you go through elementary school and end up having many friends who stick by you and who you are close with turn there backs on you as soon as grade 9 rolls around, not only does that put you in an awkward position of thinking that you know someone to now thinking that they are only out for themselves your whole world changes. Through the beginning of high school KJ realized that all of his friends in elementary school changed, but not changed for the better or grown up as it appeared that you were suppose to do but changed to not wanting to know him. Approaching many of his old friends in the halls only to realize that they wouldn't even respond to him or even look his way when he talked. Not only did they do that but they also set up many of the verbal assaults that were targeted at KJ through the years of high school, at times they would act like they were his friends from old days only to line him up for a verbal assault from not just one but many students, these assaults wouldn't just go last one or two minutes but they would last for the full day, once 3:00 came around did these assaults end ?, not a chance as he would have to endure them on the bus both going and coming to school each and everyday these assaults would last through the rest of his high school days. After dropping out of high school did these assaults have any affect on him, well yes of course they did as they were many of the mental scars that he has to bare today, paranoid to do many things in front of people or even to talk in front of them always fearing in which they will lash out much similar to what he has gone through in the past, KJ spent much of his time from high school just being quiet growing up in a small town not saying much to anyone. He never did think much about the future as he never thought he did have one, till he picked up a pen and started to write. It was his only way of telling his story to the world about the troubles of his past, although like most writers he doesn't always choose to write about his past as he doesn't like to talk about it. But when he does you can rest assure that the talent that he does posses will truly shine through the mental scars that have affected him through his life as he's sure that many people will be able to not only feel but understand what he has gone through in the past. |

3 Poems | by Angus Brownfield Nov. 20, 2011 | Free! | 411 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: I was born in Kansas by mistake, and I've never found my way back. The man behind the curtain, it seems, had no hot air balloon. I spent more years than I care to count writing in the language of hierarchical organizations (also known as bureaucracies). I wrote grant proposals and long range plans, for example. I believe I have finally purged myself of all bureaucratese, and ought to be understood to regular (i.e., non-bureaucrat) persons. I've lived in Missouri, California and Oregon, presently in a smallish burg named Talent, where citizens know the names of waitresses and mail carriers and "howdy" each other on the street. It's a far cry from Los Angeles and Berkeley, where I did lots of my writing of grant applications and such. My big-time favorite writer is Thomas Mann, but if you wave Elmore Leonard or Robert B. Parker under my nose, I am like a sot sniffing an Old Fashioned. I have a tough hide and a tender heart. I cry in two-hanky movies, but I was a boxer in college. I can make a salmon souffle, but I favor large, complex stews and soups that I can eat over several days. I also bake a very good sourdough French bread. I have a blog which has lain dormant for some time, because no one seems to read it, though spammers flock to it. I would welcome comments there from anyone who would actually read a posting. Late in 2011 I launched my eighth novel, Guardian of the Lost Colony, the third book in the Mustt Adventure Series. With that kind of output it's time to concentrate on getting my work read and appreciated. Look forward to some book deals in 2012. |
