Fuck Them All | by Shane Diamond July 21, 2011 | Free! | 4476 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: A small town in Ontario Canada, a town so small that it would be called "The Boonies" or "The Sticks" is where I spent my life growing up, now all through out my life with anyone who has made it big they have always been from a big city. Nobody has been from the middle of no where. But that is where I have been growing up, in the hamlets that all you can see are trees or fields as far as the eye can see no matter what direction you look. The towns overlooked and forgotten by history that where at night you could hear coyotes howl. For almost all of my life I never really did have any friends I always roamed around the places that I lived alone anytime people would see me they would see me roaming around all by my lonesome, perhaps I was loner perhaps that I was destined to be a loner for life who continued to keep things bottled up on the inside and never let anyone get close to me. Then the writing bug hit me: About six years ago I decided to pick up a pen and began to express myself in the form of poetry, but of course not all of the poetry that I write is the same it all has been influenced by my thoughts and emotions at the time of writing it. While dabbling into the art of poetry you will also see me and my wife Jessica dabble into a few other things ranging from music to fantasy sports. If I have a interest in it then you can best believe that I will be giving a good solid attempt at bringing that forth to share with the world to show everyone that ya boy from out in "the sticks" or from "the boonies" isn't somebody to be taken out of any situation no matter what I attempt. |

Memoirs of an Accident | by J Dean Feb. 14, 2011 | Free! | 373 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: "Taking fantasy in a completely unique direction." This is what J. Dean intends to do with the Vein series. Instead of following the tried and true methods and paths of familiar fantasy mythos, he created an original world for an epic story. From his Michigan residence, he captures the fantasy world of the Vein (and other stories) and imprisons them upon paper, until the day when the words are set free by the imagination of those willing to read them. The Vein series is J. Dean's first venture into serious writing, and he hopes that you will join him on the twists and turns of this ride that is part excitement, part drama, part terror, and all adventure. |

Irish Boys Can Walk: A Short Tale | by Nipaporn Baldwin March 17, 2012 | Free! | 573 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: I am a teenage African American poetess trying to open up a new avenue in the world of Dragons: Space Dragons!! And I WILL make it "work." My stories are mostly flash fiction, short stories and (best of all) poetry. About The Society On Da Run series: Earth has seen many visitors, from space dragons colonizing the planet in Pre Cambrian times to intelligent insectoids and benevolent owl gods. Follow the adventures of a wide cast of characters as they encounter the dragons of the Draconizica empire, and Ashuton Karrucci, the god of dragons going about his daily life in Italy. From a story about a small town ravaged by an airborn dragon virus, to a story about a cruel dragon king on a terraformed Mars, to the story of a girl pregnant with a Dragon god, these stories are not bound by the norms of the Fantasy and Science Fiction genres. Also includes stories unrelated to the dragons. _______________________________________________ As of March 2012, all issues in the TSODR have been (or are being) updated with new covers and additional content. Moldable Youth: A Collection of Poetry and Prose | by Amy Tuso Jan. 22, 2012 | Free! | 3453 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Amy Tuso writes stories about high school because she knows the importance, value and overall impact those four short years have on all of us. She remembers high school in graphic detail, yet chooses to still spend her days within its halls. She is a social worker specializing in substance abuse and violence prevention in a high school setting. She has found that in high school what is normal becomes grey and is based more in perception than reality. Her stories represent both the perceptions and the realities of growing up; they are a journey through clichés, brutal honesty and true friendship. She believes that what doesn’t destroy us makes us stronger, but being strong doesn’t mean having all the answers. |

| Author bio: 27 year old African American male who writes about it all. I love love, I hate love and I hope you enjoy my spirals in and out of love and life in general through my words. I love music. I have an addiction to poetry and lyrics. So if you see a quote in my work and think, "that sounds familiar..." it might be. It might be from one of your favorite songs. I think my writing is more lyrical like from a song, rather than a mirror image of say something, Shakespherean. I've been branching out more into short stories lately. And it's kind of fun how the words just flow. |
