Of loss and Victory

Hope now lost

In the mist of loss and despair

Darkness is often seen

For weeping and gnashing of teeth is now heard

The inhabitants mourn everyday

Comfort is a distant cry from reality

The children feral

The old frail

Woe to the cursed city

I leave it behind

Forward I go to the future colourfully made in a palace

A sharp contrast to this grey black cloudy place

The city is damned I tell you

Humour once heard

Is now but a thing of the past

Foggy and melancholic is the now abandoned city

All opportunity

Lost!

This feeling depresses me

I can't conquer the dark mist that now

Covers my once illuminated life

It isn't to be compared

A hole too deep to be filled

Overwhelming pain and fear surrounds me

Help I cry in disdain in my the deepest place of my heart

My soul is bitter

I am not a quitter

Fight I will until I conquer

With a desirable wife and loving children

I would conquer and come out victorious

I am a warrior not a weakling

The maiden

I stood there aggravated

Was I elevated from my lowly status?

To be forever trapped in his condescending demeanour

I am a peasant

But a human being with blood flowing through my veins

The King valiant and vane

Seeks my hand in marriage

A poor maiden was Louise

Fading amidst her fears

Who will wipe away her tears?

The constant pain too much to bear

To carry the burden of his chauvinism

Tomorrow the marriage is held

A feast and banquet

At his demand and conquest

Louise a fair flaxen maiden

Broken is spirit and strength

I shall prove my worth

To his dismay

And my immediate death

Abuse of Power

My Future, My hope

My heart desires fulfilled

Wealth and power at my splendour

My wish is everyone's command

Royalty bow down to my presence
