that God give me a couple of words
to set the tone of the poem and that
He help me put the sentences together

Despite the differences in life,
On one thing you can
always depend,
In the middle of pain, joy,
Grief or strife,
God will be with you till the end

Forever is almost long enough to get the things done,
That we have planned to
do in our lives,
But we are so busy we have forgoten the fun,
Just to watch the sun rise

Some of us do not
develop quickly,
We seem quite awkward
in the start,
Though a swan when she's
a chick looks quite sickly,
When grown she's a
beautiful work of art

There is agony
involved,
As through life we travel,
But with God our
troubles are
solved,
And our problems unravel

It is an absolute
truth,
When you fondle a problem instead of taking it head on,
The answer will remain alouf,
And the problem
will continue on

Have u ever considered loyalty,
To others but also to yourself,
It is with great respect to treat everyone that way,
And vastly critical to
your social health

As we try to develop our
style of living,
we find we have
problems to face,
but if we do our best
to be forgiving,
And always be willing
to accept God's grace

Try to intrepid be,
In this era of contemporary dullness,
For we are but one
in this vast sea,
Ask God to bring you to fullness

Is it my solem oath,
That I will do the
best that I can,
Together with
God that He and I both,
Will work towards the
benifit of man

If we are totaly commited
to our new way of living,
There is one absolute
to be sure,
Thru God's grace we can
learn to be giving,
And he will teach us to be
humble and pure

Greater is the avenue of the Lord,
But faulty is the way of man,
Thru God can
truth we afford,
And fall in line with His plan

If you want to grow
taller in stature,
You don't do it a foot at a time,
Inch by inch we mature,
If we go with God's design

I make a dedication today,
That with total devotion I pray,
That I follow
God all the way,
In everything I do act or say

If we don't want to flounder
in our own self pity,
We must endeavor
to be strong,
And while it's cute to be
silly and witty,
He who survives will
work hard and long

If we were to take a
survey of our life,
We would find some
demolition is in need,
So that God could come
in and take His place,
And then our pride
could receede

There was a revolution
in our lives,
The day we put down
the bottle,
Misfortune would now be
a thing of the past,
When with God we
opened the throttle

The defender of justice
is absolute,
And worthy of praise,
But the fool is full of rebuke,
And is constant with
trouble to raise

When you finally make the decision to let God in,
There will be an
avalanche of emotions,
As you sort thru your feelings
and your new life begins,
You have set freedom in motion

As I fondly remember the simplicities of youth,
I lovingly think of
those days,
The day I lost my
very first tooth,
I remember clearly now
that I'm not in a haze

When saddled with the
problems of my drinking,
I was unable to see the
devastation to my
family and friends,
Now sober with a new
way of thinking,
I begin the long and arduous process of making amends

If you are positive that your
ready for a new day,
You must accept that
terminal was the old way,
Start right now and
begin a new day,
And ask God to show
you the way

When the onslaught of old behaviour comes upon us,
We must be careful it
does not devour,
Unless we invite God
to guide us,
It could well be
our final hour

The natural man seeks to embellish life with
gold and glory,
But the humble
seeks a simpler plan,
Kindness and meekness
are now the story,
And worship of God is
obvious for man

If we are to find solitude with God,
We must impute amnesty
into our lives,
Forgiving others but
mainly ourselves,
For this is where true
peace resides

If we were to take a sample
of life for good or bad,
And put it into an
application of God's love,
We would see the results
to be had,
Would exceed our
expectations and above

From a person place or thing,
On my knee's I ask God,
For His freedom to bring

things out of fashion,
Seems to come my
greatest passion,
I hope with God the
newness never dies,
And that He'll always be
there to dry my eyes

Do not falsely accuse your brother,
So that of him others
might apprehend,
These are the glorious
words of the father,
Take them that you
might comprehend

In my faith there is Fatherhood,
But with all there is the
almighty presense of God,
It is the quest of Love Faith
and doing good,
That those of the world find odd

When you finally humble
yourself before God,
There will be an avalanche
of emotions set in,
You will learn people skills you once would have thought odd,
And a new life of Love
and Joy will set in

It is my ambition to see the future,
So my health I must protect,
My body is a creature I must nurture,
If I am to see this effect

Every once in a while we go thru a tragedy,a time when hopelessness
abides,But God in all of his majesty,will always be by our side

When you meet new people don't assume their liars & fools,
But that this
could be a new friend,
Faith and trust are awesome tools,
And they'll be with you
in the end

Don't be an ambulance chaser,
Always looking at the
misfortunes others go thru,
But be a problem eraser,
The one others come to

To spend the day full of resentment and fear is awful,
We only get so many days,
Live life to the fullest
and be fruitful,
Not in an inebriated haze

Is it theoretical or obvious,
that God works within us,
Only our faith
will say so,
For a man can seem to be gracious,
or he can look devious,
as he is tossed to and fro

At first I thought my love of God was infatuation,
A foolish passion for
spiritual things,
As my faith increased there
was a realization,
Of the serenity only
God can bring

Life can be extremely
difficult at times,
So we need to optimize our days,
Deep thought and
contemplation are fine,
But prayer and meditation
is the way

Make your day immense,
By bringing something to
benefit another,
Help prosper someones
daily events,
By making an effort to try
to help others

Is following God more than tolerable to you,
Is He substantial,
For you see God wants more
than your leftover prayers
when your blue,
He wants to be essential

The truth is not always obvious,
It can be mixed in a
mire of deception,
But if we with God will be serious,
He will give us a new
conception

Living by one's own code can be very detrimental to your health,
Trapped forever in self will,
But surrender to God will bring great wealth,
And joy in your life will fill

I thank the Lord that I am affluent in spirit & love today,
That I have so little to be fearful of,
Many are the blessings that come my way,
Filled is my life with Love

Patience is like the turtle,
Persistant in his strivings,
But with wisdom he side
steps the hurdles,
And crossing the finish line
he is ariving

Set your life in perpetual motion,
By following the Lord,
Begin each day with a
spiritual devotion,
A price you can easily afford

In America
I can worship freely
Without interrogation
So to the flag I
stand straightly
And give my dedication

God is more than an ideology,
It is an insult to consider
that possibility,
For God was, is and
always will be,
Get on your knee's and
ask Him to set you free

Though our lives may clot,
And our creative juices not flow,
Do not embellish the plot,
Let God run the show

Just like the amphibian,
Born of water and morphing to air,
So the zealot carries to extreme,
The love of God to religious flair

umbilical is cut,
The Lord sets us free,
The effect is will we be
open or shut,
To seek Him or not,
Shall be our dilemma,
What will our choice be

Staff can be a serious infection,
Antibiotics an incentive to heal,
Alcohol gave me a feeling
of rejection,
But God restored me and
put on my life His
seal

God created us to be fruitful,
But we must seek Him first,
We must turn from our
wickedness to be entirely successful,
And for His righteousness
we must hunger and thirst

When there's a tempest
raging in your life,
The best way to respond is prayer,
God will releive anger,
Pain and strife,
When you need relief He will
take you there

There is a certain discipline,
I believe I must obey,
That God lays out before me,
To keep me safe today

Forever is a long time,
And "almost" won't get it,
Don't always speak what's
on your mind,
You might live to regret it

"I'm in control" is a falsehood,
For eventually on my own
I will fail,
But with God at the helm
of right and doing good,
Success in my life will prevail

What are your attributes,
Can you see them clearly or do you hide them in falsification,
Do you operate in resolutes and suffer things dearly,
Or do you seek indemnification

Can you fathom eternity,
Abstract of time your thoughts pass through,
A quadrillion years past your minds greatest certainty,
You blink and the second hand strikes two

While trying to levitate
my problems,
I find I have no ability,
The solution is distant and vague,
But with God n my life I find
the symptoms,
Have lost their agility,
And no longer my life do
they plague

Once I was very intense,
With a lack of love and variation,
Then God touched my life
and ever since,
I have the tenderness that was
put there at creation

I believe that if God were
to advise me today,
He would say
"Be humble, Clean house and Help my fellow man",
And so to be certain I'm in
his will and way,
I seek His direction before my every plan

Don't let acquisition be
your totality,
For there is much more
to life than that,
For "things" will become
your master,
And his enforcement is
always death...

By my own admission,
Thoughtfulness is not always
first on my mind,
But when to God I make
my confession,
He softens my heart and
helps me to be kind

Whatever the world
may instigate,
To two things you can reduce,
Is it done with Love or hate ,
This truth you can deduce

Great is my aptitude,
& quickness to forgive,
Theses must be my traits,
If I am to happily live

Make a deliberate effortt
to be kind,
Don't let your words
be suspect,
For if you seek to help
others you will find,
That with being a
servant comes respect

It's all about attitude today,
Mediocre or intense,
Will you be a hater or have something kind to say,
Make the decision don't
ride the fence

In the deep abyss of my mind,
Is where I go for meditation,
For there the great truths
of God I'll find,
His Spirit is my source
of inspiration

Don't think me intrusive
when I ask how you are,
I really want to know,
Don't falsify your answer
to make it sound good,
Let your true feelings show
