I am myself,
I am the poet who writes for truth,
I am the dreamer who dreams of equality,
I am the thinker who thinks of a better tomorrow,
I am the one who stands for change,
Take me as I am,
Perceive me as you may,
I am the way I was made to be,
No more, No less
I am.
Truth
Some say open your eyes so you can see.
I say open your mind and soon all things will become clear.
A Rude Awakening
You sit alone in darkest night,
Silently waiting birds of flight,
The birds don't come, you drift to sleep,
All through the night dreams will not keep,
You scream aloud while darkness falls,
Your trapped for life within these walls,
A single bird sits on your sill,
You wake to see this dream is real.
A Perfect Place?
Happy hugging, joyful jumping-
Smiles sacred in this place-
Gleeful giggles, peaceful promises-
Smiles sacred in this place-
Everyone happy constantly,
Everyone happy can't you see-
With no other emotions,
No one can feel-
If everyone's happy,
Than no one is real.
Do You Wish To Be Free
Deepest darkest silence consume
Your body is your Earthly tomb
What is this Heaven Hell on Earth
Where gold is used to measure worth
A pit of fear within my mind
These shackles still with walls shall bind
I sit alone most ev'ry night
Alone to ponder pointless plight
A mind so free that wanders vast
Looks to the future and the past
A mind to think what is to come
A question yes means more to some
Must there be more beyond the grave
A place where ev'ryone is saved
This hope this fear consumes us all
Cripples our mind so we must crawl
The truth unknown is what we seek
See if marv'lous wond'rous or bleak
