Messenger

A thousand voices cry out in pain,

And I hear them all in vain.

Because I know I can’t help them all,

Fighting a thousand battles will only have me fall

And it hurts,

That for all my efforts,

I still see pass those smiles,

Seeing true emotions in their eyes like hidden files.

So, I walk around and just listen,

And hear what other ears are missin’,

And I find that one,

Who’s time altogether may soon be a negative sum.

I heard the voice of the girl who’s parents drink,

Knowing when her parent’s fight, her heart can only sink.

I listen to the student who’s parent does nothing but yell

Who’s wishing for someone to know all is not well.

There is the boy who’s manhood had him face death,

When his father was taken and has now left.

There’s the girl who can not breathe without the world’s approval,
