Authors Note:
I
love writing and I love poetry even more. I love all the forms, the
rhymes, and the imagery. Putting a poem together is like putting a
puzzle together. This collection is a little bit rhyming, and a lot
of free verse. This is a collection of love poems they are wasted
because they were never sent. Some of them are happy, some are sad,
some are funny, and some not. Many of these poems were written
between the years of 2001 -2005. I hope you enjoy them!

“I hold it true, whatever befalls; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.”
~~~Lord Alfred Tennyson
`~*`~*`~*~`
Still
Still
memories of lost loves
And false loves echo in my mind,
like
stories of the Boogie Man and Greek gods.
Still all the things I
never said or did, or didn’t do
haunt my present like Freddy
Kruger and rabid bees.
Still feeling his presence
like
molasses- sticky, thick and fresh.
Still hearing his voice
it
oozes through the cracks in my brain
Like slime oozes time
Still
burning leafs remind me of fall
Like coffee and creative writing
class with Dr. Sullivan
Remind me of the start of War.
