Introduction
This book is a poetic journey into a decision that would claim the ultimate prize; your life. This is a deeply poetic story about unconditional love and loss told from the perspective of the mind of the main character, a woman who has sacrificed her very existence to ensure that the love of her life would not die alone.
In this world the sun has gone super nova and destroys the entire galaxy but not before she gets to tell the story of true love and loss. The book opens at the moment right before the sun exploded and took the lives of everything in its path. She is with her love sitting on some rocks overlooking the deep blue ocean as the sun sets for the last time.
He grasps her hand as the tears fall down his face as they embrace one another preparing for their end. She looks into his watery eyes and as she comforts him before their untimely end you will be catapulted into the memories of her past unearthing deeply moving emotions that tell the story about the power of love and the ultimate sacrifice made for that love.
Each chapter delves into the very depths and memories of how they came to be sitting there waiting for death and at the events that happened up to that point. The main body of the entire book is written in a poetic fashion that chains each paragraph to one another through linking the end word of each paragraph with either a similar word or the opposite word to start the next paragraph.
This style of linking will create an unbroken rhythm that will propel you deeper into the mind and soul of the main character. At the end of each chapter there is a poem that sums up the main idea of the entire chapter in soul moving words to etch the story further into the hearts of those who listen.
I wanted the rhythm to feel as if each memory is moving quickly since in her mind it is as she tries to hold onto as many memories as she can before she dies. I used the poetic style of linking for just that purpose so that you will have the opportunity to feel like you understand the world through her eyes and yet there’s so much more that is left unsaid. This story is designed to open your awareness on a level that only poetry can do.
Enjoy the fleeting memories of the past as they pass before her eyes for the final time. There are no chapters but only memory sequences that are being held onto with all of her heart and soul as they embrace their death together. I hope that you will saturate yourself in the deeper aspects of the words and story and truly experience unconditional love from but a single perspective of infinity and share this gift with those that you love. I wish you the very best.

Infinity’s Embrace
How much would you be willing to lose to spend the last moments of your life in your lover’s embrace? Would you leap into the great depths of the unknown merely to make your lover’s end more comfortable or would you leave them to fight fate alone and afraid? My story is about one such sacrifice made in the name of unconditional love.
Death came looking for us in the disguise of a beautiful sunset caressing our minds and souls as we held onto one another with all our being. My body shook slightly from anticipation of infinity claiming my very soul once more as I shared the warm embrace of my love without filters. He took my hand in his and we gazed into the horizon letting the warm sun stain an image to remember in our hearts as we said our last goodbyes to the world and to one another. Sitting on some cold rocks that overlooked the vast ocean of wonder we turned to one another and peered deep into each other’s eyes.
Eyes that spoke such deep meaning they nearly leaped out from his head and entered my very being. I became lost in the sparkle of his soul as he gripped my hand a little tighter with tears rolling down his face. The water pooled within his eyes to the point where I could see my own distorted reflection looking back reminding me of our journey to the end. As we waited for fate to claim its untimely prize I began to calm his fear by telling him to remember the good times we had and focus on being back there and happy.
Sadness began to overtake my heart as I reminisced the thought of these being my last moments with my love; the very heart of my existence. I tried to pull it together for his sake as my mind transported me to the joyful memories of our past. I was pulled into the memory of when I first met him on that cold September day. The sky was depressed and gray as the wind blew fallen leaves in every direction from the trees above.
Below me the earth seemed rather calm and accepting that her children had to shed their essence once again for but a short time. Life moved as if it were an endless circle rotating much like a cog in a wheel spinning dreams and tangled strings of fate for all to play. Fate had weaved together the path of him and I that day as the season shed its dead weight and I picked up one of its left over memories. My attention was captivated by the orange leaf that seemed to hang loosely on the edge of an old park bench where an attractive man sat staring back into me.
You could never imagine a feeling stranger than what raced through my body that day when I stood there for an awkward amount of time looking at this leaf without realizing someone was sitting down next to it. He must have thought I was a little out of my mind as no one would be so taken by an everyday sight like what had stolen my focus briefly. My eyes moved from the leaf to his as the smile on his face spoke to me in a way that I had not imagined it could nor would I have dreamed it possible.
Impossible and impractical things seemed to always make an appearance in my life as each day was like a roll of the dice in regards to events and people that walked in and out of my life. While fixated upon his warm embracing eyes he began to speak to me in such a way that I immediately felt at ease and calm about the whole event. We talked for a few moments about the sublime beauty of fall and how it expressed an artist’s passion in its mixture of colors and feelings.
Feelings that I had never thought I could feel for a stranger began to overtake my senses that day as we talked deeply about life and philosophy on that small park bench. The sun began to set as we talked there for several hours on end without ever feeling the need to break the conversation or to move in the slightest from that old bench. I wasn’t sure what it was about him that made me feel as if I’d known him all my life but I became fascinated by his ideals and his easy going nature.
Nature had truly granted me the greatest gift as it shed its old self and proceeded to create yet another cycle of life both within and without. It was as if it tore itself down to its very foundation only to rebuild itself up stronger and better than before. I too felt as if that was what happened to me on that fated day when I first met the love of my life and left the chaotic and loveless past behind.
Forward I leaped into the unknown with him as we continued to talk almost every day to one another. My heart filled with emotions and thoughts that I had never experienced before as we became closer and closer without a cause to step back. I found myself often awake at night staring into the deep sea of stars thinking how vast this existence must be and yet to me none of it mattered as much as having him there with me sharing this grand experience of life together.
Apart I felt like I was missing a piece of my very soul and when we were together I felt I could do anything. The little things in life seemed so much more grand and extravagant when you are in love truly and deeply. The way the flowers always lean toward the caressing sun reminded me of the deepness that love is experienced in all things and how everything actively seeks to find that love.
Love powerful enough to transform the very matter that makes up you and I and causes us to dance the dance of happiness and heartbreak. I became a completely different person when embraced by the limitless boundaries of love and happiness that I nearly completely discarded everything that had once meant anything to me in my past. I was a beautiful butterfly that had left the warm security of my cocoon to see the world in a whole new light.
Darkness was a figment of my imagination when saturated in the illuminating and comforting light of deep and true love. One night I remember he took me to this hillside way up into the mountains where he created a memorable sight that altered our path forever. We sat there looking up into the stars that night talking about the deeper things in life when out of the corner of my eyes I saw the streaks of shooting stars soaring across the ocean of black.
White tails of heavenly bodies burning up in the atmosphere nearly took my breath away as we watched in silence and awe at the wonders of the Universe. That was the first night that he declared his love for me under the watchful eyes of the night sky as we consummated our undying love for one another in a beautiful spectacle of togetherness. The wind brushed against our backs with a warm sensation of accepting us as children of infinity.
Nothing could have made that night any better as we laid there naked in front of the open sky bathed by moonlight and the feelings of deeper connection to the Universe and each other. I lay in his arms with my head held softly against his bare chest as the sound of warm wind echoed in the trees. My eyes closed as I gave into the moment and the feelings within my soul and fell asleep.
Awakened by the beautiful sounds of birds singing their song to their mother Earth as the comforting sun warmed my back through the thin sheet covering my body I stared into his eyes. He looked back at me with such compelling feelings that words needed not be said to express the moment. We stayed there for a little while longer burning the memory into the fabric of our beings and souls.
