They say I am women hear me roar, but aren’t you tired of being called a whore. You raise our kids all by yourself, and living off the government is what you call wealth. Dropped out of high school didn’t even get your G.E.D because he said you’ll be together for life until you got pregnant with his seed. Can’t turn back now and don’t know what to do, so you dance on poles to keep money coming into you. Pampers are finished and no food to eat, so you put her in the dumpster once she goes to sleep. Someone will find her she’ll be ok, and then you fill your body with drugs and alcohol just to keep the pain away. Only if I listen to my parents, maybe if I would have stayed in school, then maybe, maybe I wouldn’t be acting like a fool. No my Daddy never raped me, no my Grandma never kicked me out. I just thought I was so cool and knew what life was all about. But it’s time for me to stand up, it’s time for me to rise, with God as my mentor I know I’ll be fine. I will keep my faith in him, as he leads me down my path. For with God’s love, I know I will be free at last.
